A two-phase program to become a licensed massage therapist in Hawai‘i. This state-approved course prepares you for the Hawai‘i State Massage License Exam while immersing you in Lomilomi healing traditions. Community tuition assistance may be available for Native Hawaiians and Native Americans.

Thursday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
You'll learn Lomilomi Techniques, Anatomy & Physiology, and Professional Skills. (Total 150 hrs)
Instructors:
Mariko Kekai Sato (MAT-11268) – Doing lomi for 25 years, UH Hilo Hawaiian Studies graduate.
Nancy Kahalewai (MAT-697) – Author, founder of two massage schools, expert in anatomy and Lomilomi.
Class (40 hrs advanced lomi techniques) : Date TBA
Student clinic (70hrs clinical operation, 310 hrs hands on with record keeping ):
Length of the program is from 6-12 months. You can start on a date that your application for massage apprentice got approved by the State.
$2700 plus tax
20% due on application (non-refundable), 80% due on the first day of the class

Cancellation Policy
Lomi Service:
We require a 24 hour notice for any changes or cancelations to appointments.
- Less than 24 hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.
- “NO SHOWS” will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.
- "LATE SHOWS" will be finished at the scheduled time in order to accommodate the next scheduled service. The treatment fee will remain full price.
Workshop/Class
-Deposit is non-refundable.
-Within 7 days before the first day of the class: 50% of class fee requires.
-Within 72 hours: 75 % of class fee requires.
-Within 24 hours: 100% of class fee requires.
